On Sunday, July 10, 2011, Linda Lorelle with LLSF Yale Student Ngozi Ukazu tells how she was awarded multiple scholarships. They also spoke about our upcoming events for 2011!
This was the first annual Linda Lorelle Scholarship Fund Cook-Off held on July 24, 2010 at Reliant Stadium. There were over 50 cooking teams that entered chicken, ribs, and brisket.
Each year Linda Lorelle Scholarship Fund has made the dream of college a reality for kids who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford to attend a college/university. To date, 263 kids have gone to college on this scholarship only because of generous donors and fellow Houstonians contributions. Every little bit helps, just ask the doctors, lawyers, teachers and artists who have succeeded in their careers due to the ability to go to college with these scholarships.
